Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BibleDetails.com (published by Echelon Nexus Press, "we" or "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the site, deliver what you ask for, and answer you.

Information you give us

• Account details. Your name, email address, and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.
• Study activity. Notes, bookmarks, reading plan progress, and lesson progress you save while signed in.
• Purchases. Your email address, the product you bought, the amount, and order status. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Forms and sign-ups. What you submit through the contact form, newsletter and free guide sign-ups, church and institutional applications, and partner applications. This usually means your name, email address, organization, and message.
• AI study tools. Questions you type into the AI Scholar and other study tools, and the answers returned. If you are signed in, these conversations are saved to your account so you can return to them.

Information collected automatically

When you sign in, we set a session cookie so you stay signed in. Your light or dark display choice is stored in your browser. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies or track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

How we use your information

• To provide your account, study tools, and saved progress.
• To process orders and deliver secure download links and receipts.
• To send emails you asked for, such as a free guide, newsletter, or reply to a message.
• To respond to applications, partnership inquiries, and support requests.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Service providers we use

We share information only with providers that help us run the site, and only what each one needs to do its job:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Resend for sending email.
• OpenAI to generate answers in the AI study tools. The text of your question is sent to OpenAI to produce a response. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into these tools.
• DigitalOcean for website hosting.
• Cloudflare for privacy-focused visit analytics.
• Neon for database hosting.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

Emails and your choices

You can unsubscribe from newsletters and marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every marketing email, or by contacting us. We will still send messages needed for something you requested, such as an order receipt or a download link.

How long we keep information

We keep account information while your account is active. We keep order records as long as needed for delivery, support, and legal and tax requirements. Form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond and follow up. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we are required to keep.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local law. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Security

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, passwords are hashed, and download links expire and are limited in use. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice on the site or by email.
